Technical Service & Customer Support Officer

Reporting to the Branch Customer Service Manager, the primary purpose of the role is to provide a quality and professional level of customer support and technical service for our products that extends to a wide range of customers. This is achieved through understanding customers’ needs and following through their enquiry from either the order or repair process into our warehouse facility.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Providing technical support for our extensive range of pool products
  • Processing of Warranty claims from start to completion
  • Perform product repairs, both in-house and in-field when required
  • Provide technical product training to both Hayward staff and customers alike
  • Direct customer contact and incoming order processing
  • Attend to various customer enquiries, order follow up and invoicing
  • Diagnose technical problems over the phone
  • Assist in warehouse activities and deliveries, when required
  • Attend industry events and expos as part of support team from time to time
  • Utilize and extend current service agent network
  • Communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding progress and follow-up

To be considered for this role you will possess the following experience and personal qualities:

  • Swimming Pool industry knowledge will be viewed as highly advantageous
  • Minimum 5 years’ related experience in a similar role
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate to a wide range of audiences, both internal and external to the organisation
  • Ability to use own initiative and work unsupervised
  • Strong analytical, mechanical problem solving skills
  • Ability to manage jobs and time efficiently and effectively
  • Work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent customer service, organization and negotiation skills
  • MS Office skills, including Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Positive attitude to WHS practices and procedures

Sub Contract Installer/ Service Technician

Due to continued strong expansion in the Sydney market, Heliocol Solar Pool Heating is seeking a Sub Contract Installer/ Service Technician to carry out quality installations and servicing on solar pool heating systems in the region.

Heliocol Solar is a leading supplier and installer of solar pool heating equipment in Australia with a strong reputation for service and quality.

The role will consist of collecting the relevant product from our warehouse at Seven Hills and installing at the customer’s home. No specialised skills are required as training will be provided. We do require neat and tidy work. We also value installers who have a positive “can do” attitude and who can provide great customer service throughout the installation.

Most installations are completed in the same day and your invoices will be paid weekly.

The successful applicant will:-

  • Have a trade type background,
  • Demonstrate a good customer service focus
  • Be able to carry out a quality installation.

You will need your own ABN, appropriate insurance, a tidy ute type vehicle as well as basic hand tools and ladders. (no specialised tools required).

  2. Proven pool industry experience;

  4. Solid experience with range planning / building seasonal programs;
  5. Proven experience in overseas sourcing and importing;
  6. Experience in managing supplier relationships and trading terms;
  7. Supply chain experience;
  8. Advanced Excel skills are a must;
  9. Experience in a retail franchise business is an advantage; and
  10. Holder a Certificate III or IV in Swimming Pool and Spa Service would also be an advantage.

Candidates with previous experience in managing pool and/or spa categories will be highly regarded.
