A record 440 industry members attended the SPASA Victoria Awards of Excellence at the Great Hall of the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) on August 24.

The major award, the 2013 Remco Pool of the Year Award, went to Aloha Pools – a company with a long history in the industry. Founded in 1966 by his father Lindsay Fell, well-known SPASA member Greg Fell steered Aloha Pools to significant Awards success and industry prominence for many years. Greg, now accompanied by his son Travis, has been building pools and spas of excellence for 30 years.

Aloha Pools and Out from the Blue both garnered six golds each.

The other two major awards were the Sustainability Award which went to The Pool Enclosure Company for their telescopic pool enclosure; and the Product Innovation Award which was won by Pentair Water Australia for their IntelliTouch easy-touch automation system.

Go the SPASA Victoria website for a full list of winners.

There will be more on the awards in the October printed issue of SPLASH!.
