Maribyrnong Aquatic Centre classified as exposure site

Maribyrnong Aquatic Centre has been advised that a person who visited the centre on Saturday 10 July between 10-11.30am attended while infectious with covid-19. The centre has now been classified by the Department of Health as a Tier 1 exposure site and is closed until further notice.

If you attended MAC during the identified time, you must get tested immediately and quarantine for 14 days from the exposure.

All impacted staff members have been notified and are following health advice. On top of this, a comprehensive deep clean of the centre will be undertaken during the close.

The centre management says they continue to monitor the situation, and are following all advice provided by the Department of Health.
