Pool and spa retailing in a time of social distancing

Behavioural scientist Darren Fleming is offering free training to the swimming pool and spa industry, to help deal with the vexed issue of retailing during the current pandemic and subsequent lockdown.

The first webinar in the series is being held this Friday, March 27, 10:30am Sydney time.

In this webinar titled “Keeping sales up when customer visits are down – recalibrating sales skills from
face-to-face to over-the-phone” Fleming will explain:

• How to operate when 90 per cent of the environmental signals are missing and still get the order;
• The better questions to ask to go looking for more sales opportunities;
• How to move beyond relationship selling so customers want to hear from you;
• The subtle techniques you can use to build rapport and then sell more.

Fleming says that social distancing measures are having a massive impact on sales teams.

“Sales people are confined to the office or the home, and see firsthand the slowing of the economy. Being isolated from others can be a fertile ground for breeding fear of what will happen over the next six months,” he says. “This is not a good place for anyone to spend time.”

His aim is to make sure that won’t happen to you and your team.
